Rain-lashed neon alley at midnight, two silhouetted figures facing each other beneath a flickering pink sign, the camera gliding forward on a slow dolly as rain streaks through shafts of cyan and magenta light. Water cascades off a rusted fire escape, steam rises from a manhole, and every droplet catches the neon glow like falling sparks. One figure steps closer, their face half-lit, rain streaming down their jaw, the other turning away as a passing car's headlights sweep the wet asphalt gold. The camera pushes into an extreme close-up of trembling hands nearly touching, then pulls back as thunder rolls and the sign above them sputters out, plunging the alley into darkness except for distant lightning. Melancholic and electric, anamorphic lens flares, cinematic 35mm grain, shallow depth of field, 24fps.
